TROUTZ
Mary Elizabeth Troutz went to be with her Lord on September 3, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Melvin Lee Troutz, Sr. went to be with his Lord and join his wife in heaven on September 4, 2010 at the age of 85 years. After 65 years of being together on this earth they are still with one another in heaven in the presence of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mary was born on May 29, 1926 to George Robert and Lily Beatrice Jacobs in Six Mile Bottom England. In addition to her parents a brother also preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her sister, Edith Maude Hedger of Six Mile Bottom England who still lives in the family residence that Mary lived in as a little girl. Melvin was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 26, 1924 to George Thomas and Sarah Troutz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. In 1945 Melvin and Mary were married in England and shortly thereafter moved to San Antonio to start a family. Melvin and Mary were blessed with five children. Their four daughters are; Marilyn Allen, Maureen Bergmann, Melinda Gonzalez and her husband Joe, and Marilee Pfannstiel and her husband Donald, a son; Melvin Troutz, Jr. and his wife Pat. Their son Melvin, Jr., son-in-laws; Charles Allen and Donald Bergmann preceded them in death. They are also survived by their eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and a host of friends. Melvin and Mary were active members of Mayfield Park Baptist Church for over forty years serving their Lord until their health no longer allowed them to. Melvin had previously served as a Men's Sunday School Class Teacher and helped in other areas as needed. Mary was the former director of the Food Pantry helping serve food to those in need in the church family and the community. Services
Joint Visitation will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Joint Funeral Services are scheduled For 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Mayfield Park Baptist Church, 700 W. Hutchins, with Pastors Jerry Canupp and Mike Sutton officiating.
