Aunt Mattie,
Today would be easier if you were here. I miss you so much! Too hurt to post a few days ago, but now I just needed to talk to you. We have lost Aunt Cookie now! Such a terrible year, and missing my mom, too-these days are the some of the hardest. So many beautiful times we shared together, in love and in grief. I love you forever and always.
Forever your niece,
Alicia Nikole-"Nikki"

Aunt Mattie,
Thinking of you today as I often do. This was the day we lost you from this life, but I am so grateful to God that I was blessed to love you and to be loved by you. I miss you so very much! And I need you now more than ever. But until we meet again-I love you Aunt Mattie, so very, very much.
Forever your niece,
Alicia Nikole-"Nikki"

To Lionel,Jim and Yolanda and the family:
I was so saddened to hear about your mom's passing when I called San Antonio last night. My prayers are with you now and in the days to come. May the Lord bless and keep you all.

Mattie was a very good person & wonderful sister-in-law to my sister Janie. I will always remember her hugs, smile & the way she always went out of her way to make you comfortable in her home. May the Good Lord bless & comfort all of the family in this time of mourning. The great news is that we will see her again!!
