Michael L. Foulkes born August 15, 1928 in Honolulu, HI went to be with our Lord February 21, 2013, at the age of 84. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict in the 45th Battalion. Michael was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter. He was a fantastic husband and best friend to his wife. He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, J. Frances Foulkes; daughters, Vicki Foulkes, Suzanne Wilson and husband Mark, Christi Schretter and husband Grover; son, Steven Foulkes all of the DFW area. Step-son, Edward Wayne Chapman and wife Wendy; sister, Betty Gage of Houston; grandchildren, Brian Hinojosa, Jami Wilson, Marcus Wilson, Daniel Hutsell, Early Musoni, Ronny Decker, Amiee Carpenter, Andrew and Thomas Chapman; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Paralyzed Veterans of America, P.O. Box 9522, Wilton, NH 03086-9522.
