Orlando Frank Frietze, age 65, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas after a valiant fight against cancer. He was born in El Paso, Texas on August 7, 1948 to Louis Frietze and Frances Zamora Frietze Butler. Orlando was a retired Navy veteran with the rank of Chief Petty Officer First Class who served with distinguished service for 21 and 1/2 years. He served during the Vietnam conflict on the Cochran and on the USS Iwo Jima and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Meridian, Mississippi. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Maria Hilda Frietze; his four sons, John Andrew of El Paso, Texas, Stephen Parra (Angie) of Kansas, Michael Paul (Teri) of Chehalis, Washington and Robert Louis of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren: Cameron Thomas, Ethan Robert, Noah, Olivia and Brandon Parra.
