Obituary Condolences

S/Sgt Roberto Abrego, Ret. USAF, born on January 29, 1927 in Raymondville, TX, went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2007 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Apolonio and Esperanza Correa Abrego. He is survived by his wife Bertha Abrego and daughter Yolanda Moran (David); sons: Dr. Daniel Abrego (Cynthia), Robert Abrego, Jr. (Cathy), Allen Michael Abrego (Debra), Mark Anthony Abrego (Fiancé, Yvette); 12 Grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brother, Raul Abrigo; sisters Fela Adame, Corinna Hero, and Rebecca Portillo. Mr. Abrego retired from the United States Air force after 20 years of service and also retired from Kelly AFB after 20 years of civil service. Mr. Abrego proudly served in WWII, the Korean War and in the Vietnam War, and was a member of VFW Post #9186 and American Legion Post #579. A Visitation will begin at Trevino funeral home, 226 Cupples Rd. Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart from the funeral home Friday, December 7, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of the Resurrection to be held at 9:45 a.m. at San Juan de los Lagos Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Services under the direction of Trevino Cupples Funeral Home.
