Rogerio Orozco Flores, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the age of 91. He was born on October 5, 1921 in Charlotte, Texas to Francisco and Manuela Flores. He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Rogerio is survived by his wife of 64 years, Reymunda A. Flores, daughters Gloria (Roger) Tellez, Tina (Steven) Sandoval, son Raul (Rose Marie) Flores, brother Arturo Flores, sisters Manuela Flores, Eliza Flores, Angie Guzman, grandchildren Gabriella Flores, Raul (Lynn) Flores Jr., Roger Tellez Jr., Michael (Nina) Sandoval, Anthony Flores and Richard Flores, great-grandchildren Brianna Flores, Roger Lara Tellez III, Rene Lara Tellez, Raeann Lara Tellez, Michelle Sandoval, Anthony Flores Jr., Brian Isaac Flores, Tiffani Flores, Marissa Flores, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rogerio was a disabled veteran of World War II, he was awarded numerous medals and honors, including the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. The family would like to extend their gratitude to River City Hospice, with special thanks to Francisco Calbillo, Mario Salas, and Chaplain Luis Alonzo. Visitation will be at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South, Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M., Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. Joseph South San Catholic Church, 535 New Laredo Hwy, with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
