Funny is an understatement. One of the funniest things I have ever heard in my life was said by Tom to my friend Donald, his youngest son. Unfortunately, it is way to inappropriate to repeat here, but I fell out of my chair laughing

Tom was an unforgettable character with a wit that wouldn't stop. His story-telling voice and his laugh still ring in my ears. However, the e-mail of condolence he sent me last December after my Mom's death was very touching. His comment, "I am afraid that grief is the price of love," keeps playing back in my head. My sincerest condolences on your loss.

I met Tom sixteen years ago while working DLI managment requests. We became reacquainted when I began working at DLI six years later. Tom was a very clever man who provided interesting stories about his many adventures around the world. We had many stimulating conversations. Tom will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tom was such a funny, funny man. Always quick with a joke or funny story. He was without a doubt one of the best story tellers I have I ever met. He definitely made this world a better place for everyone who was blessed enough to meet him. He will be missed. I am proud and honored to say he was my friend. Tom if you are reading this in Heaven, leave us some passes at the gate. R.I.P. my friend. Until we meet again. Mark Trachta
