Ward Boehme Obituary
Ward Maximillian Boehme, age 95 of Castroville, TX, passed away on May 31, 2011 in Castroville. He was born Jan. 5, 1916 in Rio Medina, TX to the late Charles F. and Alexis Wanda Ihnken Boehme. Ward was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Estella Haby Boehme; sister Ludell Boehme Hoffman; sisters-in-law, Ethel Keller, Dahlia Holzhaus, Dorothy Tschirhart; brothers-in-law, Milton Hoffman, Sr., Dan Keller, George Holzhaus, and nephew, Milton R. Hoffman, Jr. Ward was a rancher in Medina County. He also worked as a agent for Hermann Sons Fraternal Insurance for over 50 years. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Gail and Carolyn Boehme, and Glenford and Denise Boehme all of Castroville; grandchildren, Julie Boehme Guinther, Jared and Janet Boehme, Bradford and Jenny Sue Boehme, Braden and Jessica Boehme, and Branda Boehme; great grandchildren, Hayden & Addison Guinther, Jenna & Jillian Boehme, Austin and Bayley Boehme, and Chas Boehme; brother-in-law, Harley Tschirhart of Castroville; numerous nieces and nephews. The Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home will be open for Visitation on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Rosary will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment will follow the Rosary at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be given in Ward's memory to either St. Louis Catholic School, St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Medina Valley ISD Education Foundation or the charity of one's choice.
