John, Sarah, and Asa,
I recently heard about the death of your wife/mother. I am so sorry for your loss. I'm proud to have known such a kind, warm and brilliant person. My prayers and thoughts are with her and with those she left behind.

Johnny, Sarah, and Asa,
I can't find words to express how much sorrow and sadness that we feel, after we learned of Jane's passing. She always had a way of making folks feel special no matter who you were, or where you came from. Jane was a friend to all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. The last conversation we had with Jane was her telling me to hurry up and get our house built so we could be neighbors.
God Bless you,

I knew of Jane years before I met her. When we finally met at the Mustang Island Family Camp I was impressed at how sincerely she wanted to be of help in any way to anyone. She really cared. Few who walk this land will rank as high in my book of "givers" as Jane Cozad.

For me, it was her smile. She lit up the room with that smile.
Cute and bubbly, and always there for anyone and everyone.
And John... (the "foot" thing!)

Dear Johnny, We were in California when we heard of Jane's passing. With heavy hearts we thought of y'all and wished we could have been closer. We reminisced about the first winter we spent at your hunting lease on hwy490. Our family was camped in the trailer. You and Jane came by after dark to check on us. Y'all crawled through the fence to join us in our cozy home. :) Dan, Nick, Marshal and I will forever remember those happy times. We are privileged to share your lives. Know that Jane will keep us all strong here on earth as she delivers strength from heaven.

Dear Johnny, Sarah, and Asa: as we were raising Evan and Sarah in McAllen, we always felt like we had family in town-our church family at St. John's. Whatever was going on at church, Jane was there, with her lovely smile, and her positive attitude about how much good we could all do in our daily lives. She was an inspiration to all of us, as we know she was for you. We can only hope that our lives will be as productive and meaningful as Jane's, touching so many people with her constant example of Christian love.
Please know that you guys are in our prayers here in Uvalde, Austin (Evan), and League City (Sarah). We will talk to you soon. Remember how blessed your lives are that you have shared so many years with a saint like Jane Cozad.
all our love,
Jim and Jeannine

Dear Sarah, John and Asa, we are very sorry for this great loss of such a beautiful Godly woman, mother and wife. I worked with Jane in the Special Ed. Dept. at Brewester Elem. Her legacy will be remembered for generations to come because of all the good she has done and encouraged. PDAP is forever grateful. God Bless the Cozad and Bland families.

We were so sorry to hear about your precious Jane. I last saw her on my way to see our daughter, Kristin in San Antonio. We both recognized each other at the Whataburger in Falfurrias.Jane began to ask about my family and Kristin. She was so excited to hear that Kristin was going to be in Fiesta in San Antonio. She wanted Sarah to see Kristin walk around the pool during the Queen's Ball. Jane talked as if Kristin was her daughter too and we laughed about Sarah and Kristin not liking camp when they were little. We parted ways and I left with a huge smile just from being around Jane for 15 minutes. I had no idea that it would be my last hug with Jane. It makes me so sad that my time with her was so short. Everyone loved her. May God bless the beautiful Cozad family and bring you much peace knowing that the angels are smiling from just being around Jane.

Cozad and Bland families,
Sometimes words cannot express how much a person has made an impact in our lives. Jane's compassionate nature will always remain a part of everyone she encountered. Jane's life is a testiment to how one person can make a difference. We should follow her examples and move forward with her spirit to guide us every step of the way. She is truely one of God's angels sent here to inspire us. Jane will be missed.
Regards,

My heart is deeply saddened by Jane's passing. She was a beautiful friend, spiritual encourager and all about love. Jane was the "leader of the pack." I loved her confidence, joy and intelligence for seeking the truth. She taught us how to live and how to die gracefully. She is with Our Lord and enjoying every minute of it. Dear Johnny, Judy, Sarah, Asa and family may God continue to fill your hearts (and those she touched) with all that Jane stood for: peace, grace and truth of Jesus Christ. In Christ's love, Deborah and Jimmy

To John, Sarah, and Asa; please accept my condolences. It brings me such sorrow to know that she is forever gone, so I know I must be extra good if I want to ever see her again. I know how much you must miss her as the rest of us do. I'm so priveleged to have known her. She was so perky that she could knock the caffeine out of coffee. That was the diverted thing about her. Our loss is heaven's gain and earth's cry is heaven's smile. I will continue to pray for you guys as you endure. May God have mercy as you mourn your loss.
