Dave Alsbury Obituary
Dave Watson Alsbury, born in San Antonio, Texas on June 6, 1924 went home to the Lord on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the age of 87 at his home at Medina Lake. He is survived by his wife Birdie of 25 years, his children, Shirley
"Tiger" Alsbury, Dave T. Alsbury, 'Robert D. Alsbury, Toni
Alsbury-Stark, Tracie Nichols and step-son Jeffrey A. Meade, father-in-law Roy B. Comer, aunt Ella Grace Pytel, sister-in-law Tudie Alsbury, cousins Joy Christilles and Ellen Bockenfield, numerous grandchildren and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dennis, Robert, William, Barney and Horace.
Dave was a US Navy WWII veteran and a retired SAPD Sergeant of 38 years. In his years of service he was a patrolman, motorcycle cop, forensics investigator vice squad, he played football with the Police Panthers, helped create our SWATteam, select and train potential officers and managed the Property Room. During retirement he served on the Police Pension Board.

Services: Visitation will be Thursday, May 3rd, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. with memorial services to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Northwest at 6321 Bandera Road with Pastor John Work officiating.
