PRADO
On March 2, 2014 our beloved Larry Prado Sr., was called home to heaven at age 64. Born in San Antonio, TX on Sept. 15, 1949 to David Prado Sr. and Santos de los Santos, who preceded him in death. Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rachel Frias Prado, their four sons, Larry Jr, Jerry (Erika), Garry, Kerry, (Lizette) and daughter Merry Denise , (Dimas Lomas). He was blessed with 13 beautiful grandchildren that he loved dearly. Larry is survived by his six brothers, David Jr (Sylvia), Arturo, Manuel Sr., James, Israel, George and sister Thelma. Also dear to his heart were his numerous nieces and nephews from his entire family. Throughout his life Larry shared his love and passion for softball with countless family members, friends and teammates who know him best as "Tierra." Over the years he opened his home and heart to all who were in need. He will be greatly missed by all whose hearts he touched by his generosity, selflessness, humor and kindness. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A second day of visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Both will be at Castle Ridge Mortuary. A funeral Mass will be on Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. A procession will depart Castle Ridge Mortuary at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. Mass with interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery No. 3.
