Rosemary Paxson, beloved aunt and long time dedicated member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, passed away of natural causes on Thursday, March 13, 2014. Born in San Antonio, Texas, she received a Bachelors of Science from St. Mary's University and spent most of her career as a microbiologist at University Hospital. Ms. Paxson retired from her work after 36 years of service. Well known in her community, Rosemary was a caretaker to many and friend to all who needed her. She will be remembered for her generosity and dedication to others as an active member in her neighborhood and church where she served in several ministries. A lover of animals, Rosemary adopted or fostered hundreds of cats and dogs over the years. She will be missed by many. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John. She is survived by her nieces, Sarah and Amy Paxson. Visitation will begin on Sunday, March 16, at 7:00 P.M. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:30 PM at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, March 17, at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park.
