Luis Suarez Acosta, age 72, entered into eternal rest March 13, 2014. He was born December 30, 1941in San Antonio, Texas to the late Stephen Acosta and Dolores Suarez Acosta. He married the love of his life Vicenta Rivas on July 5th 1961 in San Antonio, Texas. They were happily married for 53 years. Dad was a third generation brick and stone mason for more than 50 years and contributed to the construction of some of the more notable landmarks in San Antonio and South Texas. His passion and talent as a craftsman was passed on to his brothers and son ensuring his legacy would survive for future generations. He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife Vicey Acosta and three devoted children, Henry Acosta (Edie), Aracely Novack (Joseph), and his baby Adriana Bickerstaff (Greg). He was a loving and proud grandpa and will be greatly missed by his 3 grandchildren, Dominic Acosta, Marissa Acosta, and Isabella Novack. Luis was the patriarch of his family of 8 surviving siblings; Theresa Aranda, Virginia Acosta, Margaret Acosta, Stephen Acosta Jr., Grace Flecha, Monica Giberson, Andrew Acosta, and David Acosta and was the "best big brother" anyone could ever have. Uncle Louie will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews who he all loved and held close to his heart. Dad was respected by all his family and will be greatly missed because of his warm and loving personality and his example of living life to the fullest. He had a great love of the outdoors and spent as much time as he could hunting in Texas and Colorado. We would like to thank Dr. Robert Schnitzler and his entire staff. Dr. Schnitzler was dad's cardiologist and gave our dad excellent and compassionate care for over 18 years.
