Claudia Mantooth Obituary
Claudia "Bernice" Mantooth, born August 6, 1933 went with grace and glory to Jesus on March 20, 2014. Bernice lovingly served the Lord alongside her late husband, Brother James Mantooth, in the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 54 years. Together, they built and founded churches throughout the State of Texas. They founded Thousand Oaks Christian Church in 1984 where Bernice faithfully served until the time of her death. Bernice served in numerous leadership roles of TOCC. She served as Missions Committee Chairperson for the Thousand Oaks Christian Church Ladies Group for over 20 years. Bernice devoted many years to teaching children of all ages in Sunday School, Church Camps and Vacation Bible School. Bernice had a heart for mentoring and ministering to young mothers of her church family. Bernice was absolutely selfless as she loved and cared for her husband, children and church family. One could often hear her singing softly as she worked throughout the day. Bernice was dearly loved and adored by all who knew her. In her loving way Bernice became everyone's Mammaw!
