Donald Gray Jones, age 73, entered into eternal rest with his Lord on Friday, April 4, 2014 as a result of Congestive Heart Failure. Mr. Jones was born in Columbia, Tennessee in October, 1940. He received his BBA from The University of Memphis with a major in Industrial Management and attended the Law Schools of The Nashville School of Law and the University of Tulsa. He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force Reserves for six years and retired from The Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan after more than thirty years of service in various management positions. Upon retirement in 1994, he moved to San Antonio with his beloved wife of more than 36 years, the late Lynn Lawrie Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Masonic Lodge #612 in Nashville, Tennessee since 1969, a member of the The Tulsa, Oklahoma Scottish Rite where he received his 32nd degree in 1977 and was a past member of Akdar Shrine Temple in Tulsa and Alzafar Shrine Temple in San Antonio. He was a member of the San Antonio Conservation Society, member of Friends of the McNay and past member of the Board of Governors of the Society for the preservation of Fort Sam Houston. He is survived by Sons, Scott of Tulsa, OK, and Steven of San Antonio and Daughter, Kathy of Oakland, TN and four Grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough.
