A flaming torch was extinguished on April 10, 2014. Betty had flair, she loved art, decorating, and cooking, and she had over 500 cookbooks and was the best cook in San Antonio. She loved music and played a B flat alto sax and marched with the Brackenridge High School band. Betty loved singing, dancing, laughing, fighting, and loving, not necessarily in that order. She loved animals. She constantly saved stray cats, dogs, and even birds. Pogo, our possum, loves our leftovers. She was a registered medical technologist and United States Air Force Veteran and worked 26 years at Wilford Hall Medical Center.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Mills L. Copeland and Ella M. Walston. Infant brother: Mills Copeland, Jr. Son: Edward. Infant grandson: Joshua Kleinjan. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Kleinjan. Sons: David Kleinjan and wife Beverley, Mark Kleinjan. Grandchildren: Jeffrey, Emily, and Tina Louise and son.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 12:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Castle Ridge Mortuary.
