MARLAR
Bobbie Nell Henry Marlar, surrounded by her loved ones, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Rosewood Rehab and Complete Care, Converse, TX. Bobbie was born on December 31, 1924 in Ralls, Crosby County, TX to Curtis Buie Henry and Rachel Irene Gott. In 1941, she married Tommie McElroy Marlar in Lubbock, Lubbock County, TX and soon after they moved to San Antonio, Bexar County, TX to make their life until Tommie's death in 1987. Survivors include two children, Donna (Connie) English of San Antonio, TX and Tommie Lynn (Debra) Marlar of Leesburg, FL. Also two grandchildren, Dawn English Mechler (Jeff) of San Antonio, TX and Brian English (Nickie) of Hondo, TX, six great grandchildren: Bailee Mechler, Curtis Mechler, Ashlie English, Conner Mechler, Kyle English and Kaden English and two great-great grandchildren: Eli and Audiana Prosser. Her brother, Billy Max Henry of Alvin, TX and serveral nieces and nephews also survive Bobbie. Bobbie had worked at Joske's Department Store in San Antonio and she was the owner for many years of Owl Dry Cleaners on Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX.
Bobbie's family would like to thank the staff and management of Rosewood Rehab and Complete Care, Converse, TX for all their love, dedication and care for Bobbie during these last three years. Their service went above and beyond the call of duty. Special thanks also to Vitas Hospice Care for their services.
Services
Pallbearers will be Brian English, Kyle English, Jeff Mechler, Curtis Mechler, Conner Mechler and Connie English. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, with the family present, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 S.E. Military Dr, San Antonio, TX. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South with Pastor Mike Waddle officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Burial Park South. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
