HAYNIE
Ganelle Eddy Haynie was born on February 6, 1912 in Josephine, Texas and passed away peacefully in San Antonio on Sunday, April 27, 2014 with her beloved dog Juju by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charlie C. Haynie, in 1989. Nell was a member of Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church and active with the Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed volunteer work and service to others, especially through her lifelong affiliation with the Presbyterian Church. Wherever she lived, she was an avid gardener and a member of the Garden Club.
Nell was blessed at the end of her life to be surrounded by the wonderful staff and friends at the Inn at Los Patios, devoted caregivers Love and Marilou, caring friend Sarah, and her chaplain Phil. In addition, she benefitted for decades from the loving dedication of Dr. Melba Beine.
She is survived by numerous cousins and special friends John C.D. Drolla, Jr. of Austin, Jennifer and Jonathan Delmer and Molly Burke of San Antonio. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church or to a .
