GUTIERREZ
Asuncion R. Gutierrez passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May, 3, 2014. He was born on October 27, 1931 to Maria de Jesus and Marcelino Gutierrez, who preceded him in death along with his brothers Raul and Pablo. A.R. proudly served in the U.S. Army, Sixth Armored Division. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Irene C. Gutierrez, his children Leticia Gutierrez, John Gutierrez (Paula), Patricia Solano and Eliza Arguello (Ed); 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Sanchez (Jimmy), Socorro Millman (Ed) and Marcelino Gutierrez (Linda); sisters-in law Virginia Lopez and Rosemary Tellez (Ben); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Saul Valdez for his support during this time. A service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, May 8th at 10 a.m. at Wayside Chapel, 1705 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78213, interment immediately following at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Chapel or a charity of your choosing.
