MACIAS
Connie Macias was born to Liborio and Concepcion Macias in San Antonio, Texas on December 10, 1929 and died peacefully at her home on May 9, 2014. Connie Macias was a dedicated sister, aunt and friend. She put everything she had into family. Raising her nephew, Robert Larry Macias gave her the most joy in her life. Connie spent all her working career as Historian at Kelly Air Force Base. Upon retirement, she loved volunteering at San Fernando Cathedral, San Antonio Children's Museum, and the King William Neighborhood Association. She was preceded in death by her brothers Joe R., Macedonio, Raphael, and Liborio Macias and her sister Janie Macias. She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Macias and her nephew Robert Larry Macias and his wife Karen. She is also survived by loving nephews and nieces, Rodney, Nathan, Norman, Michael, and John Macias and Patricia Whitworth. She was also a large part of the lives of Elizabeth Macias, Lindsey Waters, Scarlett Herrera, and Megan Macias, as well as many great nephews and nieces and her most recent joy great, great nephew, Oliver Waters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
