. In 1946, she married the love of her life, Rusty Russell, and they remained married for almost 60 years, a truly warm and loving relationship ended only by his death. Jane was very involved with the Officers Wives Clubs, serving as President in two clubs where Col. Russell was stationed. Jane also had a very bright star in her crown for the work she did. She was instrumental in creating the Docent organization at Wright-Patterson's Military Museum, Dayton, Ohio, where Col. and Mrs. Russell served their last Tour of Duty. After retiring from the Air Force in 1973, they moved to Marble Falls, Texas, where for 30 years, she was involved in the other love of her life, Golf! She enjoyed playing, and played very well. Jane did remark once that she would have to convince Rusty to build another bookcase in order to display all the silver cups, platters and what-not she had won! Jane also found another home at the Trinity Episcopal Church, where Rusty was chief bread maker for all the celebrants in the Church. Jane fought the good fight for the final years of her life and still was an inspiration to all that knew her. She will be missed very much by her family and friends.
