Daniel Edward Doyle of San Antonio died on May 27, 2014, at age 77. Born on Dec. 13, 1936, to John A. Doyle, O.D., and Helen Neumann Doyle, he was a graduate of Alamo Heights High School and St. Mary's University. He was a researcher for the Bexar Appraisal District and for the Deed Records Department of the Bexar County Clerk's office. While working for the county, he was twice honored by the Bexar County Historical Commission for his support of historical research. Dan was a longtime resident of the Incarnate Word Retirement Center. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, John A. Doyle Jr. Survivors include his brother, David John Doyle, Ed.D., and sisters, Mary Helen Doyle Maddigan (John M. Maddigan Jr.) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Rosanne Doyle Fohn (Joe Fohn) of San Antonio, along with numerous nieces, nephews and great-nephews. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Angelus Funeral Home, 1119 N. St. Mary's St. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio. Interment will be in San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
