RANGEL
Sister Agnes Rangel, a Mercedarian Sister of the Blessed Sacrament, was taken to heaven on June 25, 2014. She was born in Pittsburg, Oklahoma on March 25, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel Rangel and Guadalupe Regs; and five siblings, Adolf, Evangelina, Carmen, Adolf, and Dan. Sister Agnes is survived by her siblings, Mich, Ann, Joe, Angelina, Al, Jo Ann, and Mary. Sister Agnes was a teacher for many years in Barstow, CA; Corpus Christi, TX; San Antonio, TX; and Lemon Grove, CA. After her retirement years and long periods of illness with heart problems, she donated her time in teaching priests that came from other countries, in learning to read and pronounce the readings for Mass and liturgies in English. She was a true, hard working teacher and sister. Visitation will begin on Sunday, June 29, at 2:00 PM with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at the Convent Chapel, 227 Keller Steet, San Antonio, TX, 78204. Funeral mass will be offered on Monday, June 30, at 9:00 AM at the Convent Chapel, 227 Keller Street, San Antonio, TX, 78204. Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No. 2.
