Obituary Condolences

HUSTON Rosemary K. passed away June 29, 2014. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on January 25, 1908. The daughter of John J. Kuntz and Rose Barlow, she was raised in San Antonio, Texas, made her debut there, and was Queen of the Order of the Alamo in 1930. She was a Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Texas and a 50 year member of the Moraine CC in Dayton, Ohio. Although Dayton was always home, she and her husband also lived in Bronxville, NY, Wynnewood, PA, and Kansas City, MO. Until her death, she was the oldest living alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, and one of the few women in the class of 1928. A life-long volunteer with the Junior League, she served on the Board of Education in Yonkers, N.Y., and worked with inmates at Sing-Sing Prison also during her New York years. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Huston, who died in 1972, and her son Robert, Jr. who died in infancy, along with most of her bridge groups. She was the oldest living member of the Peter Kuntz, Sr. family and is survived by sons Ed (Jane) and John (Kathy); grandchildren Brian (Chrissy), Brady (Becky), and Sara (Michael Herford); 9 great Grandchildren; and hundreds of nieces, nephews, and cousins - after all, she was a Kuntz. The family will receive friends at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave. Kettering, Ohio from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon on Monday, July 7, 2014. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL in care of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
