KINSER
Armour Lynn McGregor Kinser, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in San Antonio, Texas on June 30, 2014. Armour Lynn was born in Ballinger, Texas, on September 19, 1924 to Malcolm Donald McGregor and Juliette Van Vechten Seeber McGregor. Her father was a first generation American, whose family immigrated from Scotland. Armour Lynn was the third child of five siblings. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Lansing McGregor, sister Gloria Carolyn McGregor, Malcom Donald McGregor, and son-in-law Brink Biechlin. Armour Lynn graduated from Ballinger High School and then went on to Austin to attend the University of Texas. While at UT she worked in the Art Department with Charles Umlauff and it was during her employment in the Psychology Department that she met Reece, her future husband. They married December 22, 1950 and settled in San Antonio. Armour Lynn was a member of the Colonial Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution, and St. David's Church. Lynn will be remembered for her witty and sometimes dry sense of humor. Her no-nonsense style, and authentic simplicity, inspired affection in everyone she knew. Armour Lynn is survived by James Reece Kinser Jr., her husband of 63 years, her three children; Juliet Kinser Biechlin of Austin, James Reece Kinser III of Denver, Colorado, and Ann VanVechten Kinser of San Antonio. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Ann McGregor Crown, of New Canaan, Connecticut and three grandchildren; Robert Miles Biechlin, Emilie McGregor Biechlin, and Hunter Reece Biechlin all of Austin. A special thanks to Armour Lynn's caregivers: Janie, Lia, Yvette and Missy. Armour Lynn's life was incredibly enriched by their constant love and care.
