NICHOLS
Arland (Nick) Claude Nichols, Sr., age 88 of Adkins, entered into rest on July 9, 2014. He was born in South Bend, WA, June 22, 1926. He was a WWII veteran (Navy), retiring from the Air Force in 1965 and Civil Service(Kelly Air Force, Special Weapons) in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Cora Nichols; wife, Mary Josephine Kunze Nichols; brother, Gerald Nichols. He is survived by his eight children, Arland Nichols, Jr. of Lubbock; Patrick Nichols (Kathy); Andrew Nichols (Stacy) of San Antonio; Daniel Nichols, Sr.; Alfred Nichols (Barbara); Mary Nichols Armbruster (Kelly); Margaret Nichols Lynch (Glenn); John Nichols (Jody) of La Vernia . He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He lived a long and happy life and will be missed by his children, family and all who knew him. Visitation will take place Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a rosary recited at 7:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel-La Vernia.
