Billy Earle Dameron, (The Colonel) 89, of Boerne, Texas, died Saturday, August, 9, 2014. He was born May 10, 1925, in Birmingham, Alabama. He married Betty Jane Clark in 1951 and they lived together in Birmingham, Alabama, before relocating to Houston, Texas in 1985. Billy was a World War II veteran, a double Purple Heart recipient, prior to owning numerous textile stores in Birmingham. He loved to travel and spending time with his family. He was a positive influence to all and a very caring husband, father and grandfather. Billy is survived by his spouse, Betty Jane Dameron, and his children, Joy Pepper and spouse, Jeff, and Susan Vice. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Michelle Balero and spouse, Roy, Heather Vice and spouse, Ryann, Mike Easter and spouse, Erica, Vanessa Simmons and spouse, Jason. Billy is survived by eight great grandchildren, McCall, Mckayla, McKenzie Balero, Grace, Dylan and Noah Vice, River Easter and Tanner Simmons. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in his honor through Christus Sister Mary Hospice Center, 5131 Medical Dr., San Antonio, TX 78229. On Thursday, August 14, 2014 A Graveside Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:30 A.M. with Military Honors. Arrangements with:
