Jerry B. Rackley was born in Mangum, OK on 12/25/29, to Johnie and Suda Bex. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eugene E. Rackley. Jerry went home to the Lord on 8/15/14 at 7:23 pm., surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her children, Rex Rackley, Jeananne Martin, and Susan and Skip Newhouse, her grandchildren, Lindsay, Eric, Michael, John, Cody and James, and several great grandchildren. Jerry lived life to the fullest, from weekends at the lake water skiing with family to playing in several bridge clubs. She was an OK Sooner fan to the end, and frequently flew to the games with her husband in their neighbors little 4 seater plane.
Jerry studied English and Classical Piano at University and achieved an Associates Degree and a Teaching Certificate. She taught Pre-K at Coker United Methodist Church, and loved her job. Jerry loved animals, especially dogs and horses, and was the proud owner of the 1983 World Champion Saddlebred Harness horse, Aces Capt. Bernard. She also loved traveling around the US and abroad. After losing her eyesight, she still maintained her independence while remaining active. Her family and friends deeply grieve her passing, but we rejoice knowing she is no longer in pain, and is now with her Heavenly Father. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. You may sign the on-line guest book at www.missionparks.com under the obituary section.
