Ronald Gomez Obituary
March 29, 1951 - August 23, 2014
On Saturday morning, August 23rd, Ron Gomez, a gift of a man, went to be with Our Lord. The only consolation everyone who encountered him has after our loss is that at some point we were blessed enough to have crossed his path. He deeply loved his wife, Martha Gomez, in the most complete and unconditional way humanly possible. He was incredibly close and connected to both his daughter and son, Vanessa and Gregory. And he immediately mastered his role as the ever patient "Paw-Paw" to all of his grandchildren. An accomplished restaurateur, he thoroughly enjoyed serving people with food and in countless other ways. Whether completing his service project to become an Eagle Scout in his teenage years, or spending his free time as a Special Olympics coach just recently, his actions were always selfless. He was an incredibly spiritual man and was an active participant at St. Gregory the Great with the ACTS team, the Knights of Columbus, and as a Eucharistic minister. He began and ended every day with prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Blessed Mother, but all of the time in between he evangelized through his gentleness, humor and compassion. Ron is survived by his wife, Martha Gomez, who loved him unconditionally in return, his daughter Vanessa and her husband Andrew, his son Gregory and his wife Alissa, his sister and brother, Carol and Kenny, and his five grandchildren, Noah, Nathan, Ava, Eli and one yet to be named. He will be missed by his entire extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, in addition to all those who met him.
