Jessica Louise Edens

Our beautiful darling daughter Jessica Louise Edens was tragically taken from us on May 11, 2016. We find comfort in the knowledge that she is now a precious angel in God's loving arms.

Jessica was born on April 14, 1991 in Odessa, Texas and grew up in San Antonio. She had a warm heart and a vivacious personality and was known for her dazzling smile and infectious laughter. She loved animals and had a special bond with them. She volunteered extensively at local animal shelters and earned her Veterinary Assistant certification. Her service dog Razor Bear was her pride and joy and a comfort to her. She enjoyed horseback riding, picnics, going on family trips to Cancun, Carlsbad Caverns, and Big Bend and had a special affinity with butterflies. She loved to read and was a gifted writer who attended the Northeast School of the Arts. We will miss her each and every day as we live with a void that can never be filled.

Jessica is preceded in death by John and Genevieve Carl, her maternal grandparents, and by Jean and Olga Edens, her paternal grandparents. She is survived by her parents, Barbara and Charles Edens; numerous aunts: Janice Halfrich and husband Jerry, Elaine Green and husband Phil, Bonnie Poston and husband Randy, and Paula Edens and husband Ken Kowalksi; her uncle, Jean Edens III; her cousins: Cindy Green Hernandez and Evan Green, Genevieve and Emily Poston, and Lily Kowalski; her birthparents, Alex Alday and Marie Evans; her birth siblings, Lionel, Manuel and Christina, her half-brother, Anthony, as well as numerous other family and friends.

Her memorial service is Friday, June 10 at 10 a.m. at the Sunset Ridge Church of
Christ Chapel, 95 Brees Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
