Charles Perez, beloved son, brother, father and friend, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 27, 2010. He was born on July 6, 1956, a graduate of Luther Burbank High School. His skill and trade was originally in welding. He expanded his career to heating and air conditioning. He worked for Heye Refrigeration , where he made life long friends with the Heye family. In this capacity he also worked at the Hilton and Hyatt Regency hotels. His hobbies included hunting, scuba diving, and fishing. He is survived by his son Jason Perez (mother Jasmin Perez), daughter Magaly Perez (mother Maria Ramirez), his mother Juanita H. Hernandez, sister Patricia A. Pena (husband Lonnie Pena) , nephew Christian G. Soto and father Mr. Osvaldo V. Perez, and many cousins, family members and loyal friends. His courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis is over. His family extends their gratitude to Alamo Heights Rehab, Regent Care Center and all the staff and nurses that made Charles' endurance less painful. We also extend thanks to VITAS Hospice for their care and support they gave Charles and their dedication and commitment. Charles was care-free and easy going, he enjoyed life and everything it has to offer. He enjoyed life and loved being with the people that mattered to him: his family. He will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him. He is resting in peace, with The Prince of Peace.
