Rodolfo Reyes Sr. Obituary
Rodolfo O. Reyes Sr. born on March 28, 1925 went home to be with our Lord and Savior on September 5, 2010. Rodolfo was a WWII veteran, 2nd infantry Indianhead and was awarded a Purple Heart and 5 Stars. He fought in the Battle of Bulge and was in campaigns in Germany, France and Czechoslovakia, Belgium, Normandy. He was a small business owner of Gabriel Studios, #1, #2, #3 and Gabriel's Record Shop. He was an avid fishermen and would be found down at Port Aransas at any given weekend. He is preceded in death by his mother, Herninia Reyes; father, León Reyes; brother, Salvador Saul; sister, Aurora Herrera. Mr. Reyes is survived by his brother, Ricardo Reyes Sr.; sister, Minnie R. Ybarra; daughters, Sylvia Reyes, Yolanda Reyes Walser (Mel) and Rosanne R. Valdez (Sonny); son, Rodolfo Reyes Jr. (Norma); grandchildren, Rachel Reyes Young (Adam), Ryan Walser, Joseph Walser, Veronica Reyes, Rodolfo Reyes III, Rene Reyes, Patrick Valdez and Jay Valdez; four great grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all of those who loved him. Visitation will begin 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Trevino funeral home , 226 Cupples Rd. a procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30a.m. Thursday, September 9,2010 for an 11:00 a.m. mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel , 1204 Castroville Rd. Interment to follow in San Fernando #2 Cemetery, 1735 Castroville Rd.
