George Gonzales Obituary
GONZALES
George C. Gonzales went home to the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the age of 68 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo T. and Ramona Gonzales; and brother, David Gonzales. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lucita Gonzales; son, David Gonzales (Beatrice); daughters, Rachel Cruz (Speedy), Sylvia Angulo (Alex) and Norma Cerda (Albert); 6 grandchildren, Tony Jr., Janelle, Danielle, Moses, Nyah David George; and his beloved sister, Emma Gonzales. George was born in San Antonio, Texas, right across the compound at Mission San Juan Capistrano. He loved painting and rebuilding old cars and often exhibited his art in Lowrider car shows across the state of Texas and Las Vegas of which he received many trophies and awards. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends who used to often join him in the many Bar-B-Q festivities he held listening to his oldies, but goodies music. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Friday, March 4, 2011, with a Talk/Platica scheduled for 7 p.m. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011, for Graveside Service at San Lorenzo Cemetery.
