Pedro F. Ramirez, born on April 27, 1916, in McKay, Texas, and of San Antonio, entered eternal rest with the Lord on March 5, 2011, at the age of 94. Pedro was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Martina Fuentes Ramirez and Reyes Ramirez, and his sisters, Santos R. Medina, Maria R. Peña, and Refugia R. Marin, and his brother, Antonio F. Beltran. Pedro is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Margarita C. Ramirez, daughters, Mary Theresa, and her husband, Dr. Victor L. Casiano, Elizabeth, and Patricia, and sons, Mario and wife, Yolanda, and Pedro. For Pedro, Victor, Jason, and Benny Gomes were also his sons. Pedro had five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Chata Gomez for her untiring devotion to Pedro and Margarita, and remain grateful to all of his caregivers. As a member of the "greatest generation," he was extremely proud of his service to his country and the role he played in the building of the ALCAN (Alaska-Canadian) Highway. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Theatre at Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 9, at 4:00 P.M. in the Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, March 10, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will be held Wednesday, March 16, at 2:30 P.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. Condolences may be sent to the Ramirez family at Arrangements by:
