Betty Nowlin, 88, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, went home to Glory on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Betty was born Betty Alice Roseland on January 7, 1923 in San Antonio. She was a long-time resident of both San Antonio and Houston, and a lifetime member of Faith Baptist Church, a church she dearly loved and which was founded by her father, Bert Roseland. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Juanita, older brother Ralph Alder Roseland, younger sister Marion Worley, and by her daughter, Bonnie Mundis. Betty grew up in San Antonio where she graduated from Brackenridge High School and she attended Moody Bible College in Chicago. She was always very active in her church, was a frequent care-giver, and she excelled in the sports of tennis, swimming and bowling. She is survived by three sons; Tom Roseland and wife Patrice of Merritt Island, Florida; Bobby Nowlin and wife Peggy of Sugar Land, and Ronnie Nowlin and wife Patsy of Houston. Betty had many dear friends and family members including several nieces and nephews, seven granddaughters; Lindsay Roseland and Courtney Roseland of Orlando,Florida, Valerie Hoffman and husband Ben of Little Rock, Arkansas,Nicole Hudson and husband Richard of Sugar Land, Robyn Nowlin of Sugar Land, Tracy Nowlin of Houston, and Rhonda LaForge and husband Michael of Houston. Her great-grandchildren are Logan and Lauren Hudson, and Ryder Allen, all of Sugar Land.

Memorial and burial services will be conducted at Mission
Park South on Monday, May 23 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Michael Martin, Sr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty Nowlin's name to Faith Baptist Church, 1208 S. W.W.
