Frank F. Duderstadt, born July 22, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord September 4, 2011. Frank was adored by his wife, family and friends because of the love, humor, charity and integrity that were trademarks of his character. Frank was a "Mans Man"! He was one of the most creative problem solvers in the foundation construction, repair and drainage industry. During his 65 year career as President of his own company, Frank created hundreds of unique engineering and repair techniques for large office and retail buildings. He is one of the last of a breed of men, his handshake was his bonding contract - never wavering from his commitment. While Frank was known as an extremely intelligent man in the business, that trait was dwarfed by the giant of a man he was in the love, charity and integrity he demonstrated every day to God, his family, friends and employees. He lived every day of his life as if it was his last, always saying "I love you", followed by a hug and kiss, as easy as saying hello or goodbye; gathering up his family for a back yard BBQ party, road trip or taking everyone hunting. He was the "Anchor" for the entire family. While he had great personal success in his own business, he found greater personal satisfaction in knowing he helped others to be successful. He was a devoted Mason and Past Master of Community Lodge No. 1201, A.F. & A.M of San Antonio and taught Masonry to hundreds of Masons over his 60 years of Masonic work including his own son and son-in-law. Frank loves and believes in the Lord and is now sitting with him and his loved ones in heaven. We are sure he is already having fun once more with joy and new insight rightfully granted a servant of the Lord. Frank is preceded in death by his mother and father, Ed and Allie Duderstadt and first grandchild, Sheri Lynn "Dumplin" Doneghy. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle P. Duderstadt, daughter, Carol Lynn Doneghy and husband Steve Doneghy, daughter, Dale Jean Johns and husband Morris "Weejo" Johns, son, Frank J. Duderstadt and daughter-in-law Karen A. Duderstadt. Five grandchildren, Brian Wayne Urbanek, Tanie A. Martin and husband Jay Martin, Michael Frank Doneghy, James Franklin Duderstadt and Douglas Wayne Johns and wife Ashley Johns. He has three great-grandchildren, Hallie L. Johns, Kinley G. Johns and Philip J. Martin.
