Genoveva Cordova Obituary
Genevieve Cordova the daughter of Bruno and Concepcion Martinez was born in Runge, Texas February 12, 1924 and entered into rest September 7, 2011. Genevieve was a devoted, caring and loving mother. Her love also extended to all. She became a nurse by attending night school while maintaining a full time employment and raising three children. Genevieve graduated in 1962 at the age of 38 and began her service of helping people working at the Baptist Memorial Hospital ER. Genevieve retired after 24 years of service. She is survived by her three children Richard III, Gilbert Cordova, and daughter Janet L. Hampton. She also has three granddaughters, two grandsons, and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her three sisters Elvira Botello, Christine Rosales, Josefina Carrera and brother-in-law Raymond Rosales. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 11, 2011, at the Castle Ridge Mortuary from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with a prayer service to be held at 7:00pm. Funeral service will be Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:00am held at Castle Ridge Mortuary. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi- Marian.

The Holy Ocean
We,
like an ocean wave dance briefly
on the shore of life
only to return to the Holy Ocean from whence we came.
Yet our dance forever changes the shore,
creating life and joy that ripples throughout eternity.
My aunt Boogie's life ripples throughout eternity in her children and all those she touched with her care and love, especially me.

Dear Cousins,
I will always remember Aunt Genevieve as a kind, vivacious lady who filled each room she entered with life. You felt good just being around her. My parents, David and Mary Cordova, loved Boogie and always, always looked for opportunities to visit with her. Boogie will always be loved and her memory cherished in our family.
