Edna Kyle Obituary

KYLE
Edna Caraway Kyle was born on October 7, 1931 in Oak Grove, Louisiana. She went to be with the Lord surrounded by family on November 7, 2011. Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Edna graduated from Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, Tennessee in 1952 and went onto have a long and varied career as a nurse. She worked at the VA Hospital in San Antonio for many years, retiring in 1994. Edna also taught Health Occupations at John Marshall High School in San Antonio. Her sweet smile brought joy to all who knew her. Her kind spirit relayed the message of love to all she encountered. She will be deeply missed. Edna is preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Kyle; Parents Ruby and Priestly Caraway; Brothers Denman Caraway, Demar Caraway, Jeff Caraway, and Nate Caraway. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Sharp and husband Alan Sharp; Grandsons Matthew Sharp, Kyle Sharp, Clint Sharp and Jonathan Duncan; Brother Mason Caraway and twin brother Edward Caraway as well as numerous nieces, nephews and beloved family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Porter Loring North. Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church Wilson Chapel in San Antonio at 1:30pm followed by a burial at Mission Park North.
