MARIN
Louis Marin, Sr. age 88, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2011. He was born on August 25, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas to Remijio and Guadalupe Marin. Louis Sr. was a Navy Veteran of World War II, served at the Battle of Corregidor (1945). Louis Sr. retired from RECO, where he worked as a purchasing agent for 15 years. Louis enjoyed fishing, traveling and going gambling. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Remijio Jr. (Ray), Julio, Oscar, Gilbert, Benito and sisters, Hilda Peche and Amalia Puertas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Jane Marin; sons, Louis Jr.(Elvia), Steven (Linda), Carlos (Elena) and Arthur Marin (Mary Alice); daughters, Mary Louise Marin, Gloria Ann Adams (John) and RoseMary Vargas (Marco); sister, Vi Gonzales (Mike); brother, Alfonso Marin (Rachel) numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Vitas Group #553 for their continuous and outstanding care and support services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Vitas Hospice. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera road on Friday, November 25, 2011 beginning at 9:00 A.M. with a funeral service to be conducted at 11:00 A.M. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 9:30 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Navy Military honors.
