Lester Wahl Obituary

WAHL
Lester Gene Wahl, 75 of Marion, passed away on January 8, 2012 at home. Born on May 22, 1936 in Guadalupe County, TX, he was the son of the late, Hugo and Minnie Busch Wahl. He is survived by his wife, Ethel "Ebbie" Moltz Wahl; daughter, Pamela Schultze and son-in-law Brian; son, Darryl Wahl and daughter-in-law, Tricia; grandson Christopher Schultze and wife, Kimberlee; and granddaughter Katelynn Schultze. He is also survived by his sister Mary Jane and brother-in-law,Ronald Gerth; sister-in-laws, Lillian Kaufmann and husband, Joe; Velma Schwenn and husband, Leroy; Zula Irby and husband, Clinton; Myrtle Staats; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Wahl. Mr. Wahl was in the banking industry for 37 years and was a former Executive Vice President of Marion State Bank. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Schertz Funeral Home from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. Funeral service will follow at 3:00PM on Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Marion, Texas. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Wahl's honor to St. John Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 68, Marion, TX 78124 or to the Guadalupe Regional Hospice, 1215 E.
