Alma Lucille (Wiley) Lynn

Obituary Condolences

LYNN
Today, January 22, 2012, one of God's angels went home. Alma Lucille Wiley Lynn was born December 13, 1926 in Angleton, Brazoria County , Texas to A. R. Bill and Eunice West Wiley. Lucille was married to Robert Harold Lynn December 07, 1946 in Seguin, Guadalupe County, Texas. Their life-long residence has been in Stockdale, Texas on land they purchased shortly after their marriage. To this union two children were born, Robert Harold, "Bobby" and Alene. Her days were filled with making a wonderful home for her family. Lucille spent her entire life in service to God. Mom's gentle, kind spirit and her intense love for her family were the hallmark of her life. Even though Alzheimers tried to claim her mind and body, she never lost the ability to bless everyone with her loving heart. Mom epitomized the characteristics of a Godly woman; gracious, content, calm, kind, hospitable, a true lady in every sense of the word. Many will remember the times spent in her home and all the wonderful food she prepared. Mom leaves behind a huge legacy and an incredibly empty place in our hearts. Even though, all the while knowing she is in a far better place. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Faye Beth and sister, Inez Dixon Seiler. Also, her son, whom she dearly loved, Bobby Lynn. Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Harold Lynn and her daughter, Alene and husband, Marvin Quinney; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Lynn; sister, Opal Schwarzkopf, brothers, Chester Wiley and wife, Mary Nell; A.R. Wiley, Jr., and wife Lydia. Also, grandchildren, John Robert Lynn and wife, Carrie; Loretta Lynn Orr and husband, Michael; Roy Lynn; Pat Quinney; Lexi Quinney and great-grandchildren, Randy Lynn, Jillian, Joy, Joshua and Jaycee Orr; Wyatt and Coltyn Lynn. Pallbearers will be her much loved nephews: Maurice Dixon, John Schwarzkopf, Marty Schwarzkopf, Chuck Wiley, Mitchell Wiley, Mark Lynn and Michael Lynn. Visitation, 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, at Finch Chapel in Stockdale. Services will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 10:00AM at the Stockdale Bi-Lingual Church of Christ with Minister Wayne Dedear officiating. Committal service will be conducted at Nockenut Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
