Danny Richard Adams was born February 23, 1960. He went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2012, at the age of 52. He was a loving husband, father, son, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He married his beloved wife Tracy on October 7, 1989, in San Antonio. Danny began working with Union Pacific Railroad in 1989 and dedicated over 20 years of service. He was a volunteer, life member, director, and Assistant Vice President of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo for over 30 years. He was also active in 4-H. Danny loved and enjoyed helping the children during the rodeo and various shows. He loved watching the smiles on the children's faces as they received money for their animals during the various auctions. He was proud to present children with the SALE scholarships that they had earned from working with their animals and other projects. Danny had a zest for life matched by no one else. He had a heart the size of Texas. Danny was the type of person who would do anything for you. He touched so many people's lives that we will be lost without him. He loved to fish from the pier in Rockport. Danny hosted many barbeques for family and friends on holidays. Family and friends meant everything to Danny. Danny is preceded in death by his mother Sally Adams and his brother Charles Adams. Danny is survived by his loving wife - Tracy; son - Justin; daughter - Holly; father - Dan and stepmother, Rose; sisters - Debbie Brieden and Dawn Cantu and husband Luis; brother - Dale and wife Dawn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church a rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at 10:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow at San Fernando III Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund (S.A.L.E.)
