Ignacio Carrillo Obituary
Ignacio A. Carrillo, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the age of 88. He was born on February 1, 1924 to Léon and Clara Carrillo in San Antonio, Texas. Ignacio retired from Kelly AFB as a Model Maker in 1981, and was a 4th Degree Knight from the Holy Family KofC Chapter. Ignacio always enjoyed a good laugh and lived life to the fullest. In his later years, he discovered a newfound love of fishing and visits to the Coast. Ignacio will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His incredible sense of humor and silly nature will be remembered and cherished. The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the Agape Adult Day Care Staff for being the bright spot during his better days; and the MICU and SICU staff at the Downtown Baptist Hospital, and his personal physician, Dr. Javier Rodriguez, for their gentle, respectful and dedicated care throughout his illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe Guevara Carrillo and son, Anthony G. Carrillo. Ignacio is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Richard and Maria Carrillo; sister Matildé Ibarra; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 3pm on Monday, January 14, 2013 with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 152 Florencia. Interment will follow immediately at San Fernando Cemetery, No. 2.
