AROCHA
Climaco F. (Mike) Arocha Jr. went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2013. He was 63 years old. Climaco was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He lived his life on his own terms. He often went without in order to make life easier for someone else. Even complete strangers were touched by his generosity. Climaco was a Vietnam War Veteran who considered it an honor to serve his country. Climaco was injured in combat and awarded the Purple Heart. He was also awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commandation Medal, and Expert Badge (Rifle). Climaco spent over 30 years as a civil service employee. He worked for the U.S. Post Office and later at Kelley A.F.B. before retiring from Lockeed Martin in 2001. Climaco was happiest spending time with his wife of 40 years, Janie Arocha. His priority each day was to ensure she was cared for. Climaco is survived by his parents Frances Flores Arocha and Climaco Arocha Sr. Climaco also leaves behind his wife Janie Arocha, daughter Sharon Constancio and her husband Santos Constancio III, his grandchildren Summer, Saige and Serena Constancio, his middle daughter Barbie Jimenez, her husband Mark Jimenez and grandson Mark Jimenez Jr, and his youngest daughter Sally Linares, her husband Darin Linares and his grandchildren Lorelai Virginia and Cruz Climaco Linares. He also leaves behind four brothers and three sisters. We would like to thank his sister Joann Vasquez for always being there for her big brother. We would also like to thank the staff at Gonzaba Medical Group on Pleasanton Rd for their compassionate care, especially Dr. Gonzaba Sr. Dr. Tom Gonzaba and P.A. Anissa Ramirez. Our father always felt like the staff's number one concern and looked forward to his appointments. We would also like to thank Ruby Arocha for always making her cousin Mike her most important patient. Visitation will begin on Thursday February 28, 2013 from 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Castle Ridge Mortuary. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday March 1, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:45 PM.
