Robert Joseph Kerrigan

Celebrate the life of Robert Joseph Kerrigan at Windcrest United Methodist Church Wednesday March 20th at 11:00 am. with Rev. Tamara Strehli and Rev. H. Ray Davis officiating.

Born on August 20, 1930 in Boston, MA, Bob 82, left this life Monday March 11, 2013. He was born to Frances Olinsky Kerrigan Doolan and Joseph Robert Kerrigan who both preceded him as well as his sister Dorothy Gordon.

Bob moved to Texas in 1967 and met his wife Carolyn in 1968. They have one son, Kurt, who lives in Fort Worth, TX.

Bob started with Owens Corning Fiberglas/Performance Contracting, Inc. on March 5th, 1962 and worked for them until his retirement on December 31, 2007 as Branch Manager II, just shy of 46 years with the Company. He was transferred to San Antonio to serve as Branch Manager in 1968 and was responsible for the Austin and San Antonio Branch. At that time he also became an active part of Local 87 Asbestos Workers Joint Apprentice Committee, Pension Fund and Medical Fund and served these committees until his retirement from PCI in 2007.

He served as a commissioner on the City of Windcrest planning and zoning commission for 6 years. He also was active in the Windcrest Optimist Club for a number of years where he also served as President. He was an active member of Windcrest United Methodist Church for over 40 years and served on many various committees throughout the years.

Bob was survived by wife, Carolyn Kerrigan of San Antonio, son, Kurt Kerrigan of Fort Worth and his wife, Debbie Kerrigan and three grandsons, Keaton, Kevin, and Kyle, as well as two nieces, Diane Gordon of Boston MA and Michelle DeWolfe of FL.
