BRADSHAW
Michael Robert Bradshaw passed away on March 18, 2013 at the age of 67. Mike was born June 19, 1945 in Slaton, Texas to Earl Lee and Evelyn Kyker Bradshaw. The family later moved to San Antonio where Mike graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in 1964. To some people's surprise, Mike became a hair stylist and he owned and operated salons in San Marcos, Austin and Laredo. Mike's outgoing and engaging personality and skill brought him many customers. Later, Mike began a career as a cosmetology instructor and taught at Laredo Nixon High School in Laredo, Texas for many years, where he was beloved by his students, his fellow teachers and administrators. Mike was known as Mr. B to his students and he was very proud of their successes. Mike has a passion for boats, especially fast boats. For Mike, a good day was a day spent on the lake boating and partying with friends. Mike will be remembered for his kind of outrageous, some might say reckless, sense of humor. To Mike, things were funniest when the targets of his humor suffered embarrassment, discomfort or maybe even a little physical pain. Mike was a fun loving guy and there weren't many dull moments around him. He will be greatly missed. Mike is survived by his brother, Earl Lee Bradshaw, Jr. and wife, Lucille of Terrell, Texas; nephew, Mark Bradshaw of Ft. Worth, Texas; niece, Janet Winkler of Kingwood, Texas and many friends. There will be a gathering at a later date to remember and celebrate the life of Mike Bradshaw. Memorial contributions can be made to Texas Kidney Foundation, 5429 Lyndon B. Johnson FWY Ste 250 Dallas, TX 75240-2617 or , P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
