DIRKSON
Dr. Kenzer Jeryl Dirkson, M.D., Retired Lieutenant Col., age 63, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 in San Antonio. He was born on July 6, 1949 in Lebanon, TN to parents, Fannie and Rubert Dirkson. Dr. Dirkson graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Chemistry. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Army. He was the Chief of Staff & Reconstructive Surgery at BAMC. Dr. Dirkson was an avid traveler, humanitarian, art collector, music lover, and healer and was a loving father to his children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lynn Dirkson; and parents. Kenzer is survived by his wife, Carolyne Rice-Dirkson; sister, Cynthia B. Dirkson; sons, Kenzer Jeryl Dirkson, II, Kirish Allen-Lee Dirkson; daughters, Kesha Nichole Dirkson, Kia Monique Rodriguez, Avia Daniela Peters; son-in-law, Roman Rodriguez; grandchildren, Quentin Davis, Miles Lim, and Jude Dirkson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
