VALENCIA
Antonio G. Valencia Jr. born on September 24, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas entered into rest on June 25, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Mr. Valencia graduated from the San Antonio Vocational and Technical School in 1942 and in 1979 he received his Masters Degree from the School of Banking at SMU. After 38 years of service he retired as Assistant Vice President from the Federal Reserve Bank. He also taught at the American Institute of Banking and worked in the Admissions office at San Antonio College for 18 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lillian C. Valencia; daughters, Laura V. Alvarado and husband Eduardo, Patricia V. Suwal and husband Sam; son, Anthony X. Valencia and wife Maret, sister, Josephine; brothers, Mario Valencia, Miguel Valencia; 5 grandchildren, Aaron Charles, Steven Anthony, Lauren Maret, Sean Valencia Suwal, and Megan Valencia Suwal; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Alamo Funeral Chapels with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements are with;
