Sister Ann Murphy, age 81, entered into eternal life on August 1, 2013, at the Village of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Galway City, Ireland, on June 14, 1932 to Redmond and Bridget (Hardiman) Murphy. Sister Ann Murphy entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in 1950, professing her perpetual vows in 1959. She served in the Congregation's health care ministries in Texas. Sister Ann is survived and dearly missed by her sisters: Bridie Tyrell, Peggy Kelly, Julia Carroll, Teresa Touhy (deceased) and by an Irish Presentation Sister, Sr. Maureen Murphy, by brothers: Walter, Vincent and Sean Murphy, by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in the U.S. and by her community, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Funeral Services will take place in the Chapel of the Incarnate Word at the Village at Incarnate Word, 4707 Broadway. Vigil Service will be held August 4, 2013 at 6:30p.m., and Mass of Christian Burial August 5, 2013 at 11a.m. Interment in the Convent Cemetery.
