I like to think of Stephanie as a "steel magnolia," for she embodied Southern gentility and hospitality. Our book club visits to her home were lovely -- always her best china and linen. I was in awe of her command of literature of all genres, past and present. I admired her so much as a teaching colleague. She was resolved to make her final journey in her own way; I just would have liked one more hug. Eddie, you are in our prayers, and Stephanie is in our hearts.

Our deepest sympathy to you for your loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Stephanie was one of the sweetest persons I know. I have several of the things that she made because I love them. The garden club will not be the same without her. I'm glad to have many memories of her. It is so sad that her life was cut so short, too soon. I'm glad we were friends.

I am so saddened by the loss of Stephanie. She was so upbeat and courageous in her illness. Our Book Club will acutely feel the absence of her intelligence, gentleness, and warm hospitality. My condolences to her family.

Stephanie's kindness and creativity was a blessing to her family, students and friends. My mom and I made it an annual event to visit her garden each spring for inspiration. She will surely be missed!

The Windcrest community has lost one of its best friends with the passing of Stephanie. The impact she had on our community will live on with the knowledge and example of commitment and civic pride she shared with us. Her influence and sweet demeanor will be missed especially by all the ladies she touched through the Windcrest Women's Club and Windcrest Garden Club. God's peace to all of Stephanie's family and friends.

when i moved to windcrest in 2007, stephanie was the windcrest garden club president. i was impressed by the way she conducted meetings using her "teacher voice"...she was one of the main reasons i stayed in the club, she was always so willing to share her expertise & gave a lot of her time & talent to our club endeavors. i'll truly miss her, my condolences to eddie & family.
